The following individuals recently launched a business, were appointed to a leadership position or honored for their work in the business community:
Hale ‘Opio Kaua‘i nominated Sarah Padeken as Employee of the Quarter for Hale ‘Opio Kaua‘i.
According to Mary Navarro, executive director of Hale ‘Opio, Padeken was “nominated by her fellow youth workers in our residential therapeutic group home program. Sara is valued for her deep caring for the youth in our program. Sara has worked at the girl’s home for over three years. Her calm demeanor helps handle adolescent issues and conflicts with thoughtfulness and humor, always supporting the girls and her team members. Sara’s experience is relied upon by new staff, as she demonstrates tried and true methods to encourage the youth to be their best at home, in school and in the community.”
