Detroit Lions’ defensive end and former University of Hawai‘i Warrior Ikaika Alama-Francis may see playing time today against the Houston Texans.
The second-round draft pick was inactive for the last two games and so far this season, all of his three tackles were made during the Green Bay several weeks ago.
“He has been not in the dog house or anything,” said Lions’ head coach Rod Marinelli said at the last post-practice media session. “He just hadn’t done it the way I wanted it. And boy has he had a good practice — a good week of practice. There’s a good chance he’ll be up. Now, he’s got to go do it the way I want it or the fish hook is coming to get him.”
Alama-Francis is currently listed on the second-string behind Jared DeVries.
