Rodney Wasano
Rodney Katsumi Wasano of Kapa‘a died Sept. 14, 2008, in Koloa, at the age of 73. Born Feb. 7, 1935, in Kapa‘a, he was the proprietor of Wasano Enterprises.
He was preceded in death by wife Ann Wasano.
He is survived by daughters Loukey (Nico) Duin of The Netherlands, Carol (Roland) Cristobal of Kapa‘a, Mildred Royals of Kapa‘a, Anki (Alden) Takata of Lihu‘e, Leah Royals of Florida; brothers Denis (Mary) Wasano of Kapa‘a, Gary (Karen) Wasano of Maui, Richard Wasano of Virginia; 6 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. during a celebration of his life on Sunday, Oct. 26, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihu‘e; services begin at 10 a.m. Military Honors and Flag presentation will begin at 11 a.m.
The family requests casual attire and graciously declines flowers.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Wasano family with arrangements.

Wilson Ulep Aranda of Lihu‘e died Oct. 2, 2008, at WIlcox Hospital at the age of 78. Born June 6, 1930 in the Phillipines, he was preceded in death by son Wilson Aranda, Jr..
Survived by wife Carmen Aranda; sons, Dante (Ligaya) Aranda, Warlito (Regina) Aranda, Roland (Nympha) Aranda, Alejandro (Susan) Aranda; daughters Wilma (John) Bumanglag, Marjorie (Carlos) Defuntorum; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers Jovencio, Constantino, Fernado, Ruben, Mariano, and Victory Aranda.
Family and friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 17, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel, Koloa and again from 8 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. Oct. 15 at Immaculate Conception Church.
Mass at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements will be handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
