The public debate between mayoral candidates JoAnn Yukimura and Bernard Carvalho will start at 6:30 p.m., tomorrow, at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center on Kapule Highway in Lihu‘e. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Attendees will be invited to submit questions on index cards that will be provided, before the beginning of the event. During the second portion of the event select members of the audience will be invited to ask their question as written on the submitted card. The first portion of the event will be the debate format.
The political forum featuring the 14 Kaua‘i County Council candidates will start at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center.
Doors open at 6 p.m.
Light pupu and refreshments will be served at both events.
Ron Wiley of KQNG radio will emcee and The Garden Island editor Adam Harju will moderate.
