Watch for your bags in The Garden Island Wednesday, which can be filled up and dropped off at any fire station on Kaua‘i, including the Pacific Missile Range Facility’s, during the drive.
A kickoff Fish Netting Day will be Oct. 18 at Ching Young Village, Safeway, Cost-U-Less, Wal-Mart, Kukui Grove, Foodland in Princeville and Waipouli, Kmart, Koloa and ‘Ele‘ele Big Save, and Ishihara Market.
Volunteers from the New Hope Church of Kapa‘a, Kalaheo Missionary Church, Aloha Church, Saint Rafael’s Church, the Rotary Club of Kaua‘i and local high schools will ask for the community’s kokua using their fishnets to catch cash and food donations to benefit the Food Bank.
