Felipe Bigno won last week’s Football Frenzy with 10 correct predictions. I might as well keep his number, last week’s winner Janice Doi’s and this week’s guest panelist Pedro Tagatac’s because they all seem to win. All three are multi-winners
Felipe Bigno won last week’s Football Frenzy with 10 correct predictions. I might as well keep his number, last week’s winner Janice Doi’s and this week’s guest panelist Pedro Tagatac’s because they all seem to win. All three are multi-winners from last year and despite a full box of ballots every week, I keep seeing the same names winning.
I think I need to be friends with these guys so I can win contests too.
Congratulations!
But once again I was heart-broken when Hawai‘i lost to San Jose State. How do you go from up 10, to losing? Oh well. It could happen.
Out of TGI’s picks, I once again came out on top, 6-7. It wasn’t exactly the best record, but enough to beat our Web master Richard Stein (4-9) and KQNG’s Ron Wiley (5-8) for the week. That keeps me out front at 24-15 while Wiley sits at 22-17 and Stein at 21-18.
This week should be another good one. Hawai‘i takes on another ranked Western Athletic Conference team in Fresno State. Inoke Funaki will get his third start as the quarterback and Kealoha Pilares returned to the lineup as the leading running back. Having scored two touchdowns for Hawai‘i, he leads the team with four. Linebacker Soloman Elimimian leads with 25 tackles and is on pace to be Hawai‘i’s all-time leading tackler.
But the game is in Fresno and everyone knows how hard it is for a rebuilding team to win on the road. At last meeting, Hawai‘i won 37-30. Fresno State is currently projected to win by 22 points.
I’m predicting another win for myself.
