Wesley Moribe
Wesley Hiroshi Moribe of Kapa‘a died Sept. 17, 2008, at home at the age 50. Born July 26, 1958, in Waimea, he was a maintenance man with Kauai Hilton, also a fisherman and farmer.
He is survived by wife Rita Ann Moribe; sons Wesley Shane Moribe, Rex Ethan Moribe and Ryan Mitsuo Moribe, all of Kapa‘a; brothers Stanley (Maxine) Moribe of California, George (Merl) Moribe of Pearl City, O‘ahu and Dennis Moribe of San Diego, Calif.; sister Janie (Collin) Kunimura of San Francisco, Calif.; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service at 10 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Valerie August-Campbell
Valerie-Mae Kuuleimailelaulii August-Campbell of Hilo, formerly of Kaua‘i, died Sept. 24, 2008, at Hilo Medical Center at the age of 53. Born Feb. 11, 1955, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by husband Keith A. Campbell of Hanalei; sons Shawn Keone (Rona) August and Kikaolu August, both of Kaua‘i; daughter Kuulei (Chris Cox) Campbell and Kaiulani (Jarred Dorado) Campbell, both of Kaua‘i; mother and stepfather Mercy and Donald Oliveira of Hilo; sister Lori (David) Thompson of Hilo; two grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, at Honolii Beach in Hilo for memorial services followed by the scattering of her ashes at sea. Additional memorial services on Kaua‘i will be announced and held at a later date. The family requests casual/aloha attire to be worn to the services.

George Toyofuku
George H. Toyofuku of Lihu‘e died Sept. 20, 2008, at home at the age of 78. Born May 29, 1930, in Hanapepe, he was a former state senator, having served the people of Kaua‘i for 24 years in the Hawaii State Senate, the Hawaii House of Representatives and the Kaua‘i County Board of Supervisors. He was also a retired owner/agent with Mokihana Insurance Agency and served as District Governor for Lions International.
He is survived by wife Elsie; sons Guy (Lori) Toyofuku and Dean (Geri) Toyofuku, both of Lihu‘e; daughters Amy of Hilo and Lisa (Lance) Taketa of Hilo; eight grandchildren; brothers Thomas (Grace) Toyofuku and Charles (Carol) Toyofuku, both of Honolulu; and sister Naoe (Kenneth) Fukuda of Honolulu.
Friends may visit with the family at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Lihue Hongwanji Mission; service officiated by Bishop Thomas Okano will begin at 3 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.
