Ronald Wayne “Ronnie Boy” Perreira Jr. of Kalaheo died Aug. 29, 2008, in Waimea at the age of 36. Born April 23, 1972, in Lihu‘e, he was a heavy equipment operator for Delta Construction.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather George Perreira and maternal grandfather Alfonso Martin.
He is survived by parents Ronald and Valerie Perreira; fiancee Sanoe ‘Tida’ Ho‘okano and her children Lokela and Kekai Palama; brothers Greg (Kelly) Perreira and Jason Perreira; paternal grandmother Hilda Perreira and maternal grandmother Helen Martin; nieces and nephews Brigg Perreira, Gianni Perreira, Gheymee Perreira, Rhyder Perreira, Kiley Perreira and Brennan Perreira; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo. Mass will be celebrated promptly at 11:30 a.m. and a celebration of Ronnie Boy’s life will follow. Aloha or casual attire is suggested.
Ronnie Boy’s legacy of kindness, compassion, generosity and love will span generations. We love you Ronnie Boy. Until we meet again … A hui hou.

Carmen Laguatan
Carmen Laguatan of Makaweli died Sept. 3, 2008, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 83. Born Nov. 25, 1924, in Pasuguin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a retired field laborer.
She was preceded in death by husband Leoncio Laguatan.
She is survived by daughter Nina (John) Medeiros; sons Benny (Shirley) Laguatan, David (Roxanne) Laguatan of Kalaheo, Gilbert (Tanya) Laguatan of Nanakuli, Henry (Ellen) Laguatan of Edgewood, Wash., Eddie (Mariya) Laguatan of ‘Ele‘ele; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Pilar Dancel of Pasuguin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, and Agostina Acob of Montclair, Calif.; and brother Dioncio Tagavilla of Pasuguin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, at Holy Cross Church; Mass will be celebrated from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Aloha attire is suggested.
