Sam Pa of Anahola died July 23, 2008, at the age of 75. He was born Aug. 29, 1932, on Kaua‘i.
He is survived by wife Darlene “Yvonne” Pa; daughters Iwalani (Michael) Martin and Angelina (Lealiiki) Koli; sons Robert (Shannon) Pa, Sam (Laura) Pa III, Kekane (Anela) Pa, Mitchell (Kimberly) Pa and Shilo (Bernadette) Pa; brothers Clarence (Carol) Kauliakamoa, Ezera (Joyce) Pa and Edward Hooikaika; sisters Winona Elkins and Ida Hooikaika; 42 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihu‘e; services will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire is suggested.

Raymond Allen Bruce died July 22, 2008, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 69. Born Feb. 19, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a retired banquet attendant.
He is survived by daughters Denise and Heather and three grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family at noon on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Kapaa Noodle House for a memorial service for Raymond.

Shanna Nunes
Shanna Lee Naomi Nunes died July 22, 2008, at the age of 28. Born July 25, 1979, she was employed by Ventures and previously at Polynesian Adventure Tours.
She was preceded in death by father Timothy Nunes Sr.
She is survived by mother Bernie Nunes; brother Timothy Nunes Jr.; sisters Selena Soto and Terri (Chris) Cardenas; nephews Sheldon (Brandee Malama) Soto and Bryson Soto; nieces Shantel, Jasmine and Rachelle Cardenas, Kierra Soto and Taelyn Nunes; grandniece Camron Soto; and numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel. Memorial services to follow at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Milton Hiranaka
Milton Atsushi Hiranaka of Kapa‘a died July 27, 2008, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 60. Born May 27, 1948, in Kapa‘a, he retired as an accountant with the federal government. A man of strength and humor. He showed perseverance right up to his dying day.
He is survived by wife Anna Hiranaka of Kapa‘a, son Melvin Hiranaka of Kapa‘a, daughter Susan (Calvin) Mar of California, brothers Harvey (Yong Sil) Hiranaka of Kapa‘a and Jefferey (Lorelle) Hiranaka of Lihu‘e, granddaughter Chloe and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with the family will begin at 3 p.m. during a celebration of his life scheduled for Friday, Aug. 1, at Kauai Memorial Gardens; services begin at 4 p.m.

Gregorio Oroc
Gregorio Jatico Oroc of Kekaha died July 24, 2008, at the age of 104. Born May 8, 1904, in the Philippines, he was a retired mill worker.
He was preceded in death by wife Mary Candida Oroc.
He is survived by son Epifanio (Gregorio) Oroc, daughter Sister Candida “Solidad” Oroc O.S.F., five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Waimea Sacred Hearts Church where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Fred. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Natividad Jacinto of Kaumakani died July 21, 2008, at the age of 79. Born Nov. 17, 1928, in Makati, Philippines, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by husband Gaudenio Jacinto and granddaughter Janet Abellira.
She is survived by children William (Shirley) Jacinto, Josephine (Edorable) Manansala, Gordon (Tina) Jacinto, John (Gladys) Jacinto, Nadine (Michael) Mier, Dexter (Margie) Jacinto and Roland Jacinto; sisters Amparo, Lourdes, Fe and Magdalena, all of the Philippines; 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Immaculate Conception Church where services will be held. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Bill. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Perry “Del” Delvin Peck died July 25, 2008, at his home in Kalaheo at the age of 69. Born March 9, 1939, in Oregon, he was a retired comptroller.
He is survived by wife Lucille “Mollie” Peck, daughters Nancy Parsons and Patti Grant, sons Kenneth Peck and James Peck, three brothers, two sisters, and 10 grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date.
