Marlon Cudiamat and Kelii Koa Baclayon finished with 14 and 13 points, respectively, to lead Hanakila to a 55-16 showing over the Westside team in the first of two 13 and Under basketball games, Monday night.
The 3 G’s Nation competitive basketball league resumed action following a week’s layoff while teams took care of summer business as well as participated in off-island tournaments.
In the second of the Boys 13 and Under game, Lihu‘e was a 31-29 winner over the Gee Unit, and in the final contest of the night, a Girls 15 and Under match, Waimea bested Island Heat 33-10.
Following the two Hanakila scoring leaders, tall man Cy Whitlock rounded out the double-digit scoring on 10 points with James Paik finishing with 7 points.
Chavis Garma, Dillon Balisacan and Peterson Lahip led the Westside effort with 4 points each.
Donovan Harrison may have finished with a game-high 18 points for the Gee Unit, but the boys in blue fell to Lihu‘e who was led by Mark Acoba finishing with 11 points and Kameron Perez adding 8 points.
Following Harrison’s scoring, Kikal Morenz and Steven McCabe each added 4 points for the Gee Unit.
Erin Connelly finished with a dozen points and Sierra Kaohe added 6 points to lead Waimea to its win over Island Heat who got 4 points from Jazminee Mariano.
Shelley Tottori, Kiani Felipe Higa and Meghan Fujimoto each added a pair for Island Heat.
Following the scoring leaders for Waimea, Bristy Agu finished with 5 points and four other players added a pair each.
