University of Hawai‘i head football coach Greg McMackin, along with his coaching staff, is coming to Kaua‘i, for the Coach McMackin Charity Golf Turnament.
On the eve of the tournament, McMackin and company will host a dinner banquet with music, a silent auction, and a chance to win a trip for two to Honolulu for any Warrior home game. The event starts at 5:30 p.m.
On July 27, the first Coach McMackin Charity Golf Tournament will be held at Puakea Golf Course. It is hoped the tournament will become an annual event.
Check-in starts at 6:30 a.m. The three-person scramble begins at 8 a.m. sharp.
A post-tournament event will offer food, sponsored by Mark’s Contemporary flavors, and live music from Aloha Breeze.
The proceeds will be donated to the Na Koa Booster Club, to help support summer school scholarships for University of Hawai‘i football players. Na Koa will then donate a portion of its proceeds to the Kauai Pop Warner Football Association.
Reservations for both events are limited. To find out more go to www.kauaiworld.com and press the “Warrior Weekend” logo or call Dickie Chang at 635-8800.
