Two men involved in a reported stabbing Thursday at Fujii Beach in Kapa‘a remain in fair condition, said Lani Yukimura, spokesperson for Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
Curtis Bupp II, 49, of Kapa‘a remains at Wilcox Hospital after being stabbed in the abdomen.
The suspect, 29-year-old Joshua Sesco, also of Kapa‘a, was arrested for the attempted murder of Bupp yesterday.
According to Kaua‘i Police Department Chief Darryl Perry, as the suspect attempted to leave the scene, he was injured as bystanders tried to restrain him.
Others were also arrested for additional confrontations at the scene, but were released pending further investigation, according to officials.
According to Mary Daubert, spokesperson for the county, police have no motive for the altercation.
Daubert added she was not sure if any other stabbing incidents have ever happened at Fujii Beach before.
