The Nawiliwili Yacht Club is offering a presentation on the TransPac Yacht Race Friday at its clubhouse.
The clubhouse is located off Waapa Road near Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor.
The TransPac presentation will be at 8 p.m. and is open to the public.
The narrated presentation will discuss last year’s TransPac race as experienced by Kevin Robinson, chief executive officer of Ocean Network, from Honolulu.
Robinson will also briefly discuss the Ocean Network and what it features for all boaters. The Ocean Network is newly formed and offers unique ocean-only content to viewers.
Friday’s presentation at NYC is Ocean Network’s first original production.
“Transpac: A Race of the Ages” follows the crews of “On the Edge of Destiny” — which set the record for the youngest Transpac Crew ever — and “Stag’s Leap/Chasch Mer” — Dillingham Cup winner for first place Hawaii-based boat — as they make their way across the Pacific.
The program includes interviews with the crew and TransPac officials, along with scenic aerial shots and actual footage from cameras on the boats during the race.
