Judy Lynch is thrilled that her first piece entered in the Kaua‘i Society of Artists Membership Show sold! Not only that, it sold on opening night! It was a good piece showing for Kaua‘i All Girl Rodeo Association cowgirl Britni Braun, who worked with her horse, Duchess, in a roping event (will she be at the KAGRA rodeo, tomorrow?). Congratulations on the achievement!
Actually, there are a lot of good pieces on display, one being the self-portrait montage of Carol Ann Davis, which cannot help but evoke images of the monkeypod trees. Check out your favorite … it’s time well spent.
And, if you hurry, next door is the student art exhibit for the Kaha Ki‘i Congressional Art Competition, too!
Don Ouderkirk had the whole ‘ohana out for Wednesday’s baseball game, and even the Paul Correa support group discovered the magical rightfield stands where the sun isn’t as hot.
Holly Camara (she’s getting better and still volunteering at Kekaha School) was at the event with mom to cheer on Michael Acoba, who was anchoring firstbase for Waimea.
On the other side, Pauline Ibia (no wonder she wasn’t at Po’s Kitchen when the last two trays of sushi went out the door) is worrying about picking up the Hilton food for the Hanama‘ulu Beach cleanup, and Glenn Mickens made it from the council meeting in the morning to do his usual scorekeeping magic with Anahola Joel Pahukula (Am570 for those who can’t make the game).
OK, ‘nuff said … it’s off to the Texas Hold ‘Em finals!
