Bridge club wrap-up

Members of and visitors to the North Shore and Poalua Duplicate Bridge Clubs play every Thursday at Sun Village behind Wilcox Memorial Hospital at 9 a.m.

This is the oldest bridge club on the island, and visitors are always welcome to play.

Results for Thursday’s 24-player event are: First, Jane Nearing Go and Betty Moore; Second, Sue Giarman and Bob Wilson, a visitor from Boston; Third, Lil Riley and Deborah Byrnes.

Results for the first duplicate game of the year, Jan. 3, are: First and second (tie), Jane Nearing Go and Betty Moore, Loukas Fytros and George Tutschek, a visitor from Austria. Third, Lil Riley and Deborah Byrnes.

The Sunrise Club plays each Thursday at the new Princeville Community Center in Princeville promptly at 9 a.m.

The club welcomes North Shore visitors and part-time vacationers.

The Sunset Club plays each Saturday (Open Game) at the Community Building in Princeville across from the library promptly at 1 p.m.

This long-established club is convenient and conducts friendly and competitive play for all island players.

East/West — First, Dotty Nakea and Dick Shen; Helen Scott and Ron Carswell.

Members of the Ka Haku o Hawaii Bridge Club play the second and fourth Mondays of every month.

The games start promptly at 9 a.m. and visitors are especially welcome.
