Men, Women and Mixed Doubles tennis will be featured at the opening matches for the Kaua‘i District Tennis Association.

The Captains’ Meeting for Senior and Mixed Adult League will take place Jan. 20 starting at 1 p.m. at the Po‘ipu Kai Tennis Lanai.
Anyone interested in playing, or being a captain can call 245-9661 and leave a message.
The Kaua‘i District Tennis Association extends its appreciation to Bernie Duarte, the program’s president, Dan Miyamoto, vice president, Avis Hirahara, treasurer, Heidi Duarte, secretary, and Shelley Paik, Public Relations.
Carolyn Lum, Miyamoto, Helen Young, Sylvia Oliver and Juan Lorenzo are the new team for the KDTA.
Kaua‘i Junior Golf applications accepted

Applications for the 2008 membership for the Kaua‘i Junior Golf Association is now being accepted. KJGA is open to all boys and girls, beginners through advanced, ages 7 to 18.
Membership in the KJGA includes membership in the United States Golf Association, membership in the Hawai‘i State Junior Golf Association, a KJGA polo golf shirt, six group lessons, two “Rules of Golf Clinics,” mandatory for members, and skills testing for new players.
Registration forms are available at public and private schools, all Kaua‘i golf courses, King Auto Center, the Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative, or through the KJGA Web site at www.kjga.org.
There is a deadline of Feb. 14 for submitting the completed registration forms.
