Bridge club wrap-up

Members of and visitors to the North Shore and Poalua Duplicate Bridge Clubs play every Thursday at Sun Village behind Wilcox Memorial Hospital at 9 a.m.

This is the oldest bridge club on the island, and visitors are always welcome to play.

Results for Thursday’s 28-player event are: North/South — First, Jane Nearing Go and Earl Reeve; Second, Lil Riley and Deborah Byrnes. East/West — First, JoAnn and Bill Georgie; Second, George and Elaine Petersen from California.

The North Shore and Poalua Bridge Club held its holiday party at the Regency at Puakea on Dec. 2. The club collected Toys for Tots, and gave a donation to the Alzheimers of Kauai group.

The Sunrise Club plays each Thursday at the new Princeville Community Center in Princeville promptly at 9 a.m.

The club welcomes North Shore visitors and part-time vacationers.

The Sunset Club plays each Saturday (Open Game) at the Community Building in Princeville across from the library promptly at 1 p.m.

This long-established club is convenient and conducts friendly and competitive play for all island players. The club is hosting free holiday luncheons on Dec. 15 and Dec. 22 for all members and guests at noon before play.

Members of the Ka Haku o Hawaii Bridge Club play the second and fourth Mondays of every month.

The games start promptly at 9 a.m. and visitors are especially welcome.
