KOLOA — A police chase yesterday ended in the arrest of two suspects after they allegedly attempted to break into a car parked near Kipu Falls.
According to a county press release, a man and a woman in a pickup were arrested yesterday afternoon in the vicinity of the Koloa bypass road following the chase.
The couple was charged with unauthorized entry into a motorized vehicle after allegedly breaking into the vehicle at Kipu Falls at around 12:17 p.m.
A witness notified police dispatch about the alleged break-in and notified authorities to the direction of travel of the green Toyota pickup.
Officers located the pick-up traveling south on Maluhia Road. The driver did not respond to attempts to pull the vehicle over and the chase ensued.
The couple was apprehended near the Koloa bypass road at around 12:33 p.m.
