The Mokihana Club will host a holiday fashion show by Jan Bernard in the Marriott Hotel Kaua‘i Ballroom, Dec. 8.
Bernard, international fashion shaman, will feature unique French, Italian, island and couture creations from her private collection.
Amid glittering winter-wonderland decorations, male and female models will walk a runway surrounded by seating on all four sides.
A sit-down luncheon at tables of 10 is included in the ticket price of $45 per person. Doors to the seasonal celebration open at 10:30 a.m. The event will close at approximately 2 p.m.
Reservations should be made by Nov. 28. For further information and to make a reservation for the event call 822-3348. Men are welcome too.
Also at the event, Growing Greens Nursery, a Kaua‘i-made company, will hold its annual sale of poinsettias, gift baskets and table-sized Norfolk Island pine trees. Growing Greens donates a percentage of the sales to Mokihana Club community projects. Donations to the YWCA’s Women’s Shelter will be accepted at the welcome desk.
The Mokihana Club, celebrating its 103rd year, is a Kaua‘i women’s cultural and community-service organization. Club projects have included pioneering for a public library, island beautification and health issues, supporting the arts with scholarships for local high school students, and providing nursing scholarships for students at Kauai Community College.
