Mahalo to Soncy Tamashiro for sending the little bird with the invitation during the KIF volleyball game Wednesday. How else would we know the football stadium was going to be blessed before the kickoff of the varsity game? William Trugillo did a good job emcee-ing the event with Lady Ipo doing the honors.
Waimea volleyball players were at the Friday night game, and the ankle treatment for Josey Jacinto sure looked sore. What was more sore for her was having the injury at a critical juncture during their game against Kaua‘i. She even slapped the floor in frustration. Of course, Sheana Mata said little sister Jayme has already stepped up in Josey’s recovery. Nicole Farr from Virginia is still waiting to meet up with the other Virginian who was busy getting a hot dog and saimin to help ward off the Kapa‘a chill … the Coffee Bean is a great place to stop after the game. Congratulations, too, to Andrew Yamamoto and the Kaua‘i United Jr. YBA on doing a great job with the first Peace Day celebration Friday evening!
