Democratic presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich and his wife Elizabeth are campaigning in Hawai‘i this week.
Though the candidate will not make it to Kaua‘i this campaign swing, his wife will be at the Blossoming Lotus Restaurant in Kapa‘a, Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
“It will be a unique opportunity for people on Kaua‘i to learn about the views and plans of her husband, Dennis Kucinich, in his campaign for the Democratic nomination for U.S. President,” states a press release from the campaign.
Elizabeth Kucinich will give a campaign speech that will be followed by a question and answer session.
This attempt at the Democratic nod for the 2008 presidential race marks Kucinich’s second.
He has come out strong against the war in Iraq, for universal health care, and the reversal of the trend that has been eroding civil liberties, according to campaign material.
