The 29th annual Labor Day Breakfast, sponsored by Lihu‘e United Church, is Monday. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Parish Hall (stone church behind King Auto).
This community-supported event will again feature the delicious fare for which it has become known — scrambled eggs, rice, sausage, bacon, homemade coffee cakes and pastries, fresh fruit, coffee and juice. The price is $5 for adults, $3.50 for children, and free for keiki under 5.
Several local musicians will play all morning.
Lihu‘e United Church has sponsored this community event since 1979. Over the years, “Labor Day Breakfast” has become popular as a way for residents to reconnect with friends and acquaintances and for visitors to receive a warm Kaua‘i welcome.
All proceeds will benefit a Kaua’i organization. This year’s recipient is the Ke Ala Hoku Community Integration Program.
Tickets are available from church members or at the door. For more information contact the Lihu‘e United Church at 245-6253 or luchurch@hawaiiantel.net.
