The Piopio Bears are coming.
Karen Matsumoto, the coordinator for the Kaua‘i Youth Basketball Association, said there will be a dozen 15 and Under girls and five adult chaperones arriving here Friday morning.
The Bears will play two games Friday evening against the Kaulupono Girls coached by Bobby Kamakele and Pedro Saligumba. Those games are scheduled for 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
On Saturday, the Piopio Bears will take on the Kamikaze at 3 p.m. and face Gee’s Angels starting at 4 p.m. at the Kaua‘i High School gym.
Following a night outing to the Lihu‘e Bowling Center, Saturday, the Piopio Bears leave for the Big Island on Sunday afternoon.
The public is invited to view the goodwill games with no fee charged.
