Sharron Weber, past president of the Rotary Club of Kalepa Sunrise and chairwoman for the charity golf tournament, said the tournament will start with an 8 a.m. shotgun start Aug. 26 at the Mokihana Golf Course at Kaua‘i Lagoons.
Funds from the tournament will provide scholarships for local students as well as help the Rotary Club of Kalepa Sunrise with its community service endeavors, Weber said.
Sponsorships for the tournament include a tee sponsorship for $100, or contributed goods and services.
The charity golf tournament is a 3-person scramble format with 20 percent combined team handicap. The handicap for men is 26, and 36 for women.
Golfers are welcome for $100 entry fee per golfer which includes green fees, two mulligans, eligibility for closest-to-the-hole contests, long drive contests, door prizes and the awards luncheon following the tournament.
Additionally, golfers have an opportunity to win new tires for a hole in one.
