Kaua‘i’s Dylan Goodale already has a spot in Quik-silver’s King of the Groms international surfing competition which kicked off yesterday in Capbreton, France.
Goodale left for the competition last week.
Because the organizers had so many European entries, they were forced to hold a pre-trials event with eight five-man heats. Since Goodale won his trial in California earlier this year and is from Hawai‘i, he wasn’t included in the pre-trial events.
Event organizers are reporting 1- to 2-feet high tides with light winds.
They will continue with more trials today. The event started yesterday and will go on till Sunday.
