Kaua‘i Health and Wellness Association and Japan’s Genki Group will combine business and spirituality at the Kaua‘i International Wellness Conference Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Kaua‘i Community College Performing Arts Center.
The event will be followed by the United World Peace Celebration on Monday, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort.
The conference will gather wellness organizations to share ideas and exchange learned methodologies as well as create new relationships for future events promoting heath and wellness throughout the Pacific region.
The event, the first ever, will feature several lectures and exhibits, which will be broadcast live over the Internet to make for a “virtual expo.”
Kaua‘i Health and Wellness Association is a nonprofit organization representing more than 50 island businesses in the health care network on Kaua‘i. Its partner, Genki Group, is an association of entrepreneurs who have adopted heartfelt business practices and understand well being to its fullest.
Yuji Kato, founder of Genki Group, will deliver a lecture entitled “A United Nation” on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Kaua‘i Health and Wellness Association will offer a variety of lectures, workshops and exhibits open to the public. Talks will focus on improving and nourishing the three aspects of wellness: mind, body and spirit.
The cost to attend is $3 a day, $5 for both days, and free to children under 12 and seniors.
