There were some interesting personalities at the event as well … Chuck Brady of the Marriott Waiohai had his children out for the experience … they have their duck race on Wednesday in Po‘ipu.
Jolene Ogle said the Kaua‘i Marriott will be doing their duck race on Thursday.
Gizelle Geronimo, the Waimea High School student heroine for the rescued sea turtle at PMRF was volunteering, and Ed Carlson who set up the GPS fixture at Kilauea Lighthouse came back to talk about GPS.
Meanwhile, things were hopping at Kukui Grove where Glen Taba took off a half-day to watch Ohta san perform.
Art Umezu was surprised when the inspiration for his music showed up, and even Ross Shimabukuro stopped by.
Roy Sakuma did a fabulous job with the Ukulele Festival, and even had a photo op with Ron Wiley who did a great job emcee-ing the shindig.
Carol Yotsuda was in the audience after checking out the Zenshin Daiko who did a public performance at the Coconut Marketplace.
OK, ‘nuff said … it’s time to check out coach Mits Yokotake and the 18 and Under girls at Kilauea Neighborhood Center.
