“The Lihu‘e boys are good, and they played well,” said WK Manager Caesar Duarte following the contest. “Our players played well today. But they’re all-stars and this is the best of the East and the best of the West.”
Lihu‘e opened up with a 2-1 lead in the first inning when Bryton Lumabao nailed a 2-RBI double to drive D. J. Alao and Nicholas Vallatini across the plate, Alao getting first on a hit-by-pitch and Vallatini bagging first on a WK error.

Lihu’e battled back in the third, but could only tie the contest when Alao, getting hit by a pitch for the second time, scored on a Vallatini RBI single to leftfield.
WK went on to add three runs in the third frame before Emayo’s homerun added another three runs in the fourth frame.
Vidinha-Lazaro, singling for his second hit of the game, and Emayo, doubling, both scored on a Kalawaia Judd 2-RBI single to left-center. Judd went on to score the third round on an RBI single from Nakaahiki-Torres.
Lihu‘e had one last chance in the sixth inning when Micah Layosa singled to rightfield with two outs, and pinch-runner La‘akea Iseri-Carvalho crossed the plate on an Alao RBI single.
