Hats off to coach Kevin Devitt and his KSA crew on a great season. Meanwhile, coach Kevin’s GIFC-GU18 girls were battling coach Gwen Tamura’s KSC to a 1-0 edge before the job fair called. But it was nice to chat with Colleen McCracken (Kirsten was playing midfield for KSC). You saw Shalyn Tupou at Kapa‘a JV basketball … Saturday, it was Sonia Tupou for KSC … and wasn’t that Jocelyn Enrique and Brittney Carvalho in the blue and yellow?
Gregg’s dad Wayne was helping coach the Titarellas and Gregg said he was going fishing in the afternoon.
Peggy Cha didn’t have time to rest too much after graduation Friday night. She and Calvin Shirai (valet parking next year?) were out at the workforce job fair Saturday. Marsha Omalza of American Savings Bank was there with more of their Joe Cool premiums as well, but had room to hustle World’s Finest as a fund-raiser for the Kaua‘i United Way.
Debbie Yanagihawa (she’s the Sheraton craft fair coordinator) and Elli Gorman were both taking applications for the Sheraton Kaua‘i, but Elli is already looking ahead to next Saturday when she’ll be in the prize tent at the Visitor Industry Charity Walk … start warming up, people.
