The Hawai‘i Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) is now accepting applications to volunteer to help judge speech, essay and interview competitions at the United States Academic Decathlon’s annual competition on April 26 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Qualifications for volunteers are: Be at least 18 years old, and be willing to volunteer for the whole day on April 26.
Benefits for assisting the Hawai‘i Jaycees/USAD include:
• Full training of judges during the morning of the event on April 26 n there is no need to come to more than one meeting.
• Full validation of parking at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
• All meals during the event are complimentary.
• A certificate of participation from the United States Academic Decathlon.
The Jaycees offer opportunities for men and women 21 to 40 years of age. In an environment that fosters Business Development, Career Advancement, True Friendship and Community Action.
There are currently 1,400 Jaycee Chapters across the country in nearly every state, worldwide Jaycees are active in more than 6,000 chapters located in more than 100 nations and territories.
The Hawai‘i Jaycees consist of 14 chapters on O‘ahu and the Big Island with over 600 members statewide.
Those whom have been former competitors during their high school years are highly encouraged also to volunteer.
