Rosie Bukoski was lucky everything fits in the orange lunchwagon (Carol said Rosie was panicking last year because she was already into her dinner stock and it was only lunch.)
Was nice to see Wayne Miyata at the KCC student art reception, and Clarence Nishi fooled everyone — we thought the cookies were his. Not. It was the non-fattening cherry thingies.
OK, so much for dessert first. The good thing about doing a daytime art reception at KCC is you get to visit Billy Gibson, Mel Bacio, Martina Hilldorfer and all those culinary greats for good lunch … Jolynne Uyesono said they had a run on UH clothes at the bookstore for all the people going to the game tonight … we know at least two of the customers.
Despite the cold north wind, it’s always the right time for Aaron Furugen shave ice … it was on the way to the Hale Lani Christian store at the All Saints Church, and lilikoi is like the days of having a hamburger and lilikoi at W&M Hamburgers on Waialae Avenue.
Hats off to the county’s crews for working so hard to get everything shipshape for the museum’s craft fair, the lighting program and the parade … the place looked really good!
OK, ‘nuff said, it’s off to see Hilda Inouye and all those Lihu‘e seniors for their goodies.
