Learn the basics of the legislative process and how to access information from former Kaua‘i resident, Suzanne Marinelli, the Public Access Room Coordinator at the Hawaii State Capitol. She is holding workshops on Kaua‘i this week to help answer questions from a legislator’s perspective.
They are designed to make those attending a more informed citizen.

Would you like to be able to write good testimony and make sure it gets in the right hands at the right place and the right time?
Marinelli is the coordinator for the Hawaii State Legislature’s Public Access Room and will offer her insight at free workshops at these locations and times:
• Nov. 27 — 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Rafael’s Church, Koloa
• Nov. 28 — 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kapa‘a Library Conference Room
• Nov. 29 — 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kilauea Neighborhood Center
Marinelli will also be available to discuss legislative process on an individual walk-in basis at various Kauai libraries, at these locations and times:
• Nov. 27 — 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Koloa Library Conference Room
• Nov. 29 — 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Lihue Library Conference Room
• Nov. 29 — 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Princeville Library Conference Room
The Public Access Room is the public’s office at the State Capitol, and is a division of the non-partisan Legislative Reference Bureau.
