LUMAHA‘I n Kaua‘i Police Department officers in conjunction with state Department of Land and Natural Resources officers arrested two Wainiha men and one Wainiha woman on various charges at Lumaha‘i Beach Tuesday.
Ray Kuna Harada, 33, was arrested for burglary and theft. His brother Zion Micah Harada, 31, was arrested for two counts of probation violation. Johnette Haumea, 51, was arrested for criminal contempt of court.
A section of Kuhio Highway was closed for a time while police made sure the suspects were unarmed, county spokeswoman Mary Daubert said.
Two were arraigned yesterday, and one is still being held.
