The Kaua‘i Pow Wow Council, a nonprofit, educational organization, invites everyone to come to Kapa‘a Beach Park for a free family event.
This year’s Pow Wow will have two Pow Wow Drums, Wildhorse from California and Hunters Moon from the Big Island for inter-tribal singing and dancing all day long, complete with public participation in friendship dances.
More than 16 vendors are coming from all over Indian Country to share their fine arts and craftsmanship, a Pow Wow Council press release states.
Fry bread, Indian tacos and T-shirts will be available, and there’s a special silent auction.
The evenT starts tomorrow from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and features the Cherokee Stomp Dance for one night only. Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. features American Indian arts and culture.
