HONOLULU — Gov. Linda Lingle agreed this week to debate Democratic challenger Randy Iwase Friday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will be televised on all network stations statewide: KHON-2, KITV-4, KGMB-9 and KHNL-8.
According to the Lingle’s senior communications advisor, the incumbent Republican has also agreed to participate in a joint appearance at a gubernatorial candidate forum on the Big Island hosted by the Kona Kohala Chamber of Commerce, League of Women Voters and Kona Outdoor Circle.
“I look forward to laying out my vision to address the opportunities that lie ahead for the State of Hawai‘i,” Lingle said in the statement. “The debate and forum will provide the people of Hawai‘i with a clear choice — either keep moving Hawai‘i forward or go back to the way things were.”
