The Women’s Health Month Film Series — Breast Cancer and More at Kaua‘i Community College closes tonight with a film on the inside story on the promotion of birth control pills.
It’s the last of three films presented by the Kaua‘i County Committee on the Status of Women and the YWCA, two advocacy groups for women’s issues on Kaua‘i.
The two groups partnered to bring greater awareness to women’s health issues such as breast cancer, Alzheimer’s and the pros and cons of contraception using the pill.
After the film, a speaker will provide more information and facilitate a discussion group. The movie starts at 6 p.m. in Room 114 of the KCC Technology Building.
