Nalu Golf set for Oct. 20
The 3rd annual 2-Man Scramble golf tournament and silent auction to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Kaua‘i was announced by Nalu Underground Surf Magazine and Quiksilver.
Kiahuna Golf Club will be the site for the event that starts at noon on Oct. 20 with awards to follow the tournament at Joe’s on the Green.
According to event organizers, last year’s event was a great success with about 100 players including some watermen like Chava Greenlee, Bryson Anakalea, and Nalu Underground’s Curt Smith and Bruce Irons.
Through the generosity of local sponsors and volunteers, the tournament raised more than $5,000 for the Boys & Girls Club last year. Funds were used to help fund a surf camp sponsored and directed by the Nalu Underground magazine.
Golfers will have an opportunity to win a new car at the King Auto Center Hole-in-One contest.
For more information, contact Rick Tarazzas at 742-7030 or visit the Nalu Web site at www.naluunderground.com.
