It’s an opportunity to spend an evening with one of music’s most amazing maestros.
Celebrated pianist, composer and jazz legend Chick Corea swings by the Garden Isle for one night only. The 35th Anniversary Crystal Silence Tour kicks off in Hawai‘i and comes to the Kaua‘i Community College Performing Arts Center on Thursday at 7 p.m.
It is also the concert to kick off the Kauai Concert Association’s new season.
Joining Corea on stage will be old pal and master vibraphonist Gary Burton.
Grammy award-winner Corea has jammed with everyone from Miles Davis to the Foo Fighters in his 40 years in the music business. The current world tour celebrates the 1972 release “Crystal Silence,” the first of several Corea and Burton collaborations and considered a classic by many.
Tickets are $40 and are available around the island at Border’s Books, Music & Cafe in Lihu‘e, Bounty Music in Kapa‘a, the Kalaheo Coffee Company and the Dr. Ding’s Westside Surf Shop.
