All four mayoral candidates and the incumbent have confirmed they will attend a political forum hosted by The Garden Island on Wednesday at the Veteran’s Center on Kapule Highway in Lihu‘e.
The doors to the Kauai Veteran’s Center Hall open at 6 p.m. Pupus and refreshments will be provided.
The forum is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. with a two-minute opening statement by each candidate.
Once the opening statements are complete, each candidate will have the same amount of time to answer approximately eight questions. There will be a two-minute time limit on each answer.
The event will be emceed by Pam Brown, with a moderator who will pose the questions to the candidates.
Those attending the forum are Janee Marie Taylor, Jesse Fukushima, John Hoff, Bruce Pleas and Mayor Bryan Baptiste.

The Garden Island has also reserved the Veteran’s Center for a state and federal candidates’ forum on Oct. 4 and a County Council candidates’ forum on Oct. 11.
