Bob Orlik died in Visalia, Calif. on Aug. 30, 2006, surrounded by his family.
Bob was a district sales manager for a large chemical firm on the Mainland. He and his wife Ferne moved to Kauai in 1983, where they were very active socially and politically. He is survived by a son, Darius (Leah), grandson Michael (Theresa), granddaughter Cristina (Erik) and four great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Dorothy Newman
Dorothy Elizabeth Newman of Lihu‘e died in her sleep on Sept. 5, 2006, at the age of 86. She was born in London, Ontario, Canada on June 26, 1920, and was a retired nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. John W. Newman; daughter, Janet Newman of Florida; two sons, David Newman of California, Thomas (Josephine) Newman of New York; sister, Florence Weir of Canada; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
