Setsuko Hanzawa
Setsuko Hanzawa died Aug. 27, 2006, in Kapa‘a, at the age of 96.
Born on Nov. 1, 1919, at Mountain View, Hawai‘i, she was a homemaker and hotel operator.
She is survived by her husband, Tadashi; three sons, Howard (Alma) Hanzawa, Dean (Seri) Hanzawa and Mark Hanzawa; daughter, Charlene (Paul) Esaki; nine grandchildren; brother, Tadashi Okamoto. A service will be held on O‘ahu at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Tokiharu Matsukawa
Tokiharu Matsukawa of Lihu‘e died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 25, 2006, at the age of 81. Born in Wahiawa on Jan. 9, 1925, he was a masseur of Toki’s Massage.
He is survived by wife, Betty Matsukawa; son, Dean (Teri) Matsukawa of Honolulu; two grandchildren; brother, Kogen (Terumi) Matsukawa of Honolulu; sister, June (Wildrick) Lee of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Gail Matsukawa of California; aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Rev. Ishikawa will begin at 10 a.m.

Eufemia Pablo
Eufemia Isidro Pablo of ‘Ele‘ele, Kaua‘i, died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on Aug. 21, 2006 at the age of 84. Born in Laoag City, The Philippines on Jan. 13, 1922, she was a laborer.
Preceded in death by son, Genaro Pablo, she is survived by her husband, Vicente Pablo; five sons, Benjamin Pablo, Romarico Pablo, Ernesto Pablo, Elpidio Pablo, all of the Philippines, and Bernardino Pablo of California; four daughters, Josefina P. Samoy, Priscila P. Dadiz, both of California, Marcelina P. Basilio of ‘Ele‘ele and Benilda P. Medrano of California; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at Holy Cross Catholic church in Kalaheo; mass officiated by Father Nap will begin at 7 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.
