Renaldo Macabedo returned with more than he bargained for during the Big Save Value Centers Alaskan getaway fishing package, from Aug. 5 to 13.
Macabedo, who brought his fiancée, Estralita Tanimoto, along for the weeklong trip, won the fishing expedition from a Big Save sweepstakes.
Although Macabedo and Tanimoto decided to spend a couple of days sightseeing instead of fishing, they still managed to fill up a full box of frozen salmon and halibut and even a few King Salmon.
Temperatures in the low 60s and high 50s did nothing to dampen their spirits for their six-day at the lodge, which included fishing in icy, inland streams and the open ocean of the Bering Sea.
The five days of fishing were coordinated by Coors Light, Kong Radio and Southeast Retreat on the Prince of Whales Island in Southeast Alaska.
