The Kaua‘i County Tourism Strategic Plan 2006n2015 is now available for public review and comment, a press release from SMS Consulting states. SMS Consulting has been contracted by the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority to facilitate the planning process.
Though residents have already had the opportunity to submit comments through a series of public meetings held around the island, HTA and SMS are encouraging people to view the plan online (kauai.smshawaii.biz) and provide feedback via e-mail, fax or mail.
The deadline to submit comments is Aug. 16, and the final KCTSP is expected to be completed by September.
The Kaua‘i County Office of Economic Development, along with an advisory committee of Kaua‘i government, tourism industry and community stakeholders, helped develop the roadmap for a mutually beneficial tourism vision.
