Motocross races don’t happen often on the island, so when it comes up, don’t miss out on the opportunity.
Kaua‘i’s Motocross Super Race Series continues next Sunday at the Wailua Motocross Track.
“This is Round 3 of the six races scheduled for the Kaua‘i MX Super Race Series,” said event coordinator Brian Barretto.
The Kaua‘i Motocross Riders Association event features racers from all around the island.
Officials plan to use a points system to track racers throughout the series.
“Points for each rider in all classes will be posted after each race on our Web site, www.kmra.com,” Barretto said.
Registration forms may be picked up at Two Wheels in Waipouli, Suzuki Kaua‘i in the Puhi Industrial Park or on the KMRA Web site.
Entry fee is $25 for pre-registration or $30 the day of the event.
Classes for the event include minis, wahine, pit bikes, 65, 85, 125, 250, TT, vets, masters and quads.
Class champions will receive a huge trophy and a No. 1 plate.
Admission for the race is $5 for adults and $3 for kids ages 12 to 17. Kids 11 and under are free.
“Riders and race fans can expect some awesome racing by Kaua‘i’s motocrossers of all ages, from 4-year-old mini riders to vets, even women quad racers,” Barretto said. “So get our your suntan lotion and enjoy a full day of racing.”
