Q: What do you do?
A: I schedule meeting appointments for the County Council. I do travel arrangements for the entire council. I keep the master calendar of events for the County Council. I also make sure that the inventory for the office is in place.
Q: How long have you been working for the county?
A: 32 years.
Q: Do you like working in the Historic County Building?
A: Yes. The building has so much character and this is where the county government started. And if you look in our council chambers, pictures of the past members of the county Board of Supervisors and the current county councilmembers are on the walls.
Q: Do you know some of the people in the pictures?
A: Yes. I have to know them because I’ve been here for 32 years.
Q: Do you like your job?
A: Yes. You meet all kinds of people. Some people you can help and some you give them directions on where to get help.
Q: What is your favorite local food?
A: Pasteles and Gandules rice. We have family and friends that make it. I have two daughters, Michelle Jona and Natasha Suzuki. I have a granddaughter and a grandson, Sydney Jona and Kaelen Suzuki-Kaohi.
