The Kilauea Point Natural History Association has established a Lighthouse Preservation Fund. Contributed funds will go to the restoration and preservation of the Kilauea Point Light Station. Major repairs are needed to preserve this historic treasure for future generations.
To kick off the campaign to raise funds, the Association is selling engraved bricks. The bricks will replace part of the asphalt pathway from the Visitor Center to the lighthouse. The bricks come in different sizes and vary in price from $75 to $500. The cost is tax deductible. The personalized bricks offer an opportunity for individuals to leave a lasting reminder of their support for this special place. Brick order forms are available at the refuge or by calling 828-1413.
