“NU The Movie,” brought to viewers from Nalu Underground surf magazine, in partnership with Quiksilver, A-Frames Productions, and DejaVu surf shop, sets a new standard for surf videos throughout the world.
The movie features the best new surfers from the amateur movement, and the fresh faces of the future of surfing. This film takes you on a visual journey throughout the South Pacific, the Islands of Hawai‘i, and Australia to highlight the diversity and splendor of the sport of surfing in these unbelievable locations.
With a great soundtrack featuring Kaua‘i’s own Kai Roots, the flick delivers enough raw footage to feed your surfing appetite.
It’s directed by Ross Haines, a University of Hawai‘i alumnus and produced by Curt Smith from the Westside of Kaua‘i.
“(The movie is) a special blend of all the right ingredients,” Haines said.
The focus of this movie is to spotlight amateur surfers, such as 13-year-old Carissa Moore upping the stakes of women surfers everywhere with her great style and unbelievable charm, and Ola Elogram’s mind- blowing airs and Hawaiian style smile.
While focusing on the future faces of surfing, in the most epic surf locations all over the world, NU also features some of the industry’s biggest names dropping in on some of the world’s most beautiful waves.
