Hawai‘i Visitors and Convention Bureau officials in a press release invite Hawai‘i residents to submit photographs of island life for display in the online “My Hawai‘i Photo Gallery.”
Doing so will provide residents ages 18 and older a chance to earn free airfare for a Mainland or interisland trip.
Photos are being sought reflecting the islands’ beauty in the following subject areas: Fine Art Photos, Life at the Beach, Cuisine, Culture, Family Fun, Golf, Outdoor Activities, Romance, Shopping and Spa Activities.
HVCB leaders will take the selected photos and create an online ‘ohana photo album. Potential visitors to the islands will be able to scan through the photos when planning their next trip to Hawai‘i.
“This is a great opportunity for local folks to share their favorite photos and let the world outside Hawai‘i see the essence of what makes our islands such an amazingly special place,” said Jay Talwar, HVCB’s vice president of marketing.
HVCB’s My Hawai‘i photo contest is on now through June 30, after which all photos will be judged and the top three winners, along with other selected images, displayed online at HVCB’s popular GoHawaii.com travel Web site.
All entries should be submitted online to GoHawaii.com/photocontest.
