In mustang action, Kalawai slugged Waimea, 14-1, behind strong performances by Dominic Armstrong (2-3, 3 RBI’s), Devin Vidinha (2-3, 2 RBI’s), Jayvin Torres (1-2, 1 RBI), and Mikey Rita (1-2, 2 RBI’s). Dion Gray paced Waimea with a 1-2 (1RBI) performance.
Armstrong picked up the win and Kalawaia Judd pitched two strong innings for Kalawai. Jaron Parangao suffered the loss.
The Hanapepe Cubs edged the Koloa Braves, 13-12, thanks to strong appearances at the plate by Kamelei Dela Cruz (2-3, 2 RBI’s), Chava Delos Reyes (1-3, 1 RBI), Krieg Medeiros (1-3), and Justin Silva (1-1).
Jondee Rivera (2-4, 1 RBI), Kendall Rivera (1-4, 2 RBI’s), Pono Bukoski (1-4), and Anthony Lagazo led Koloa. Delos Reyes got the win for the Cubs and Lagazo picked up the defeat.
In the bronco ranks, Kalawai topped Waimea, 13-3. Mikeo Rita pitched a gem, with help from Jordon Kamakea and Kalen Iwai. Nahe Manoi-Resinto suffered the loss for Waimea.
Kamakea (3-4, 2 RBI’s), Rita (2-4, 3 RBI’s), Kendall Kaohi (2-3, 2 RBI’s), Michael Nohara (2-2, 1 RBI), Kaimana Sagocio (3-3), and Travis Soares (2-4, 1 RBI) led the Kalawai attack.
Nohili Kahepu’u (1-2) and Ryne Uyehara (2-3, 2 RBI’s) paced Waimea.
Joey Bagain, Alika Emayo, and Kaimana Perreira-Alquiza combined for a one hit shutout in the 11-0 victory over Hanapepe.
Perreira-Alquiza topped Kekaha’s bats with a 1-3 performance, which included an RBI. Tevyn Rita picked up the loss for Hanapepe.
Tauina Tafiti, Kiley Perreira, and Vaughn Thompson combined for a one hitter in the 12-1 win for Kalawai over Koloa.
Caleb Licke (2-3), Perreira (2-4, 1 RBI), Chyson Goias (1-4, 1 RBI), and Garrett Beyer (3 RBI’s) led Kalawai in the batting department.
Cy Morishige put in a 1-2 effort for Koloa. Leighton Medina got the loss for Koloa.
