Yesterday, Koke’e and Kamalu roads were closed, as was the dirt road between the Wailua Golf Course and the motocross track near the Kauai Beach Hotel and Resort and beach villas.

Caution was urged for motorists along Kuhio Highway between the Wailua Golf Course and Kapa’a, because of heavy rains, ponding, pot-holes, and other hazards.

The information came from a recorded message at the Kaua’i Police Department emergency weather and/or traffic update hotline, 241-1725.

It is updated every 30 minutes, or sooner, if necessary.
